In October 2019, Vancouver Community College partnered with the Kobor Lab at the BC Children's Hospital Research Institute to create a line up of science inspired outfits to walk the runway at Vancouver Kids Fashion Week. I was lucky to be invited to join other VCC alumni and students to tour the Kobor Labs, and learn about all the fascinating research being done. It was a treat to be meet all the women of the lab, who demonstrated such creativity and joy. The poor sleep-deprived flies and the beautiful triglyceride assay inspired these outfits.
